A custom fanny pack order succeeds or fails on four decisions made before anything prints: the fabric, the hardware, the decoration method and the strap plan. Get those right and you have merch people wear for years; get them wrong and you have a drawer item with your logo on it. This guide walks through each.
Fabric: match the material to the life it will live
Standard 600D polyester is the workhorse — durable, printable and affordable, right for most events and merch drops. Coated ripstop with sealed seams earns its upcharge for run clubs, boats and rainy festivals. Washed canvas photographs beautifully for vintage-leaning brands but drinks up moisture, so keep it away from water-heavy events. Clear TPU is its own category, existing to satisfy stadium bag policies while still carrying brand trim.
Hardware: where cheap packs die
Zippers and buckles are where budget packs betray you. Look for coil zippers with metal pulls, quick-release buckles that survive being stepped on, and bar-tacked stitching where the strap meets the body. A pack is a machine with two moving parts; both need to work on day two hundred, not just day one.
Decoration: print loud or stitch premium
All-over sublimation bonds color into the fabric and covers every panel — the pick when the design is the point, and it costs the same whether you print one color or thirty. Embroidery on solid colors reads retail-premium and survives abrasion better than any surface print — the pick for everyday-carry merch. Screen-printed one-color logos are the budget route and look best on canvas.
Sizing and the group order
One size genuinely fits most when the strap runs 28 to 50 inches, but check the spec instead of assuming. For group trips, add names — per-pack personalization usually costs nothing and doubles the keep rate.
